M-4S Launch Vehicle

M-4S was the first operational generation of Japan's Mu orbital launch-vehicle series. The four-stage all-solid rocket used a gravity-turn trajectory with fin and spin stabilization, and established the Mu program by orbiting Tansei, Shinsei, and Denpa after its first-flight failure.
