Mitsubishi A6M Reisen (Zero Fighter)

The Mitsubishi A6M was a Japanese carrier fighter designed in the late 1930s and widely known as the Zero or Reisen. Its lightweight airframe combined long range and exceptional maneuverability, making it a defining Japanese naval aircraft of the early Pacific War. Mitsubishi designed the family and shared high-volume production with Nakajima; successive models adapted the design as wartime requirements and opposition changed.
