The Myasishchev M-4 Molot, known in the West by the NATO Bison name, was the first production family of Myasishchev jet strategic bombers. Its improved 3M development retained the four-engine strategic-bomber layout while adding aerodynamic and equipment changes; M-4 and 3M airframes later served as long-lived tankers and formed the basis for the VM-T Atlant oversized space-transport conversion.
