The Northrop RQ-4D Phoenix is NATO’s high-altitude, long-endurance remotely piloted intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance variant of the RQ-4 Global Hawk family. NATO operates five Phoenix aircraft through the NATO Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Force; the fleet carries MP-RTIP and synthetic-aperture ground-surveillance radar systems plus long-range line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight communications.
