NEC NEXTAR NX-300L Small-Satellite Platform

NEXTAR NX-300L is NEC's standardized small-satellite platform used by the ASNARO-1 optical and ASNARO-2 radar Earth-observation spacecraft. The common bus supports different mission payloads: NEC lists ASNARO-1 with an optical sensor and ASNARO-2 with X-band synthetic-aperture radar. The two spacecraft have different masses and imaging capabilities, so those mission specifications should not be generalized into one fixed platform value. ASNARO-1 launched in November 2014 and ASNARO-2 in January 2018. The platform is part of NEC's integrated satellite offering, connecting spacecraft development and production with ground operations, image reception and data processing. It represents a spacecraft design variant; individual ASNARO satellites and their launches remain separate resources.
