New Glenn 7x2 reusable first-stage booster

The New Glenn 7x2 first-stage booster is the independently recoverable rocket stage used by Blue Origin’s original New Glenn configuration. Seven liquid-oxygen/liquefied-natural-gas BE-4 engines power ascent; the stage separates from the expendable upper stage and returns for a powered landing on an offshore platform. The booster is designed for at least 25 flights. It first flew in January 2025, with the first successful offshore recovery on NG-2 in November 2025. The larger nine-engine 9x4 booster is a distinct development configuration.
