The MQ-8B Fire Scout is a Northrop Grumman vertical-takeoff-and-landing unmanned aircraft used by the U.S. Navy for shipborne intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, target acquisition, communications relay, and laser designation. Based on the Schweizer 333 helicopter, the MQ-8B provides more than five hours of endurance and operates from frigates and littoral combat ships.
