Northrop YB-49 All-Jet Flying-Wing Bomber Family
The Northrop YB-49 was the all-jet development of the flying-wing bomber program, created by converting YB-35 airframes to eight Allison J35 turbojets. Its 21 October 1947 first flight made the large flying wing a practical jet test article and linked Northrop all-wing research to the later B-2 Spirit.
