Panavia PA-200 Tornado Multirole Combat Aircraft Family

The Panavia PA-200 Tornado was a tri-national family of twin-engine, variable-sweep combat aircraft developed by Germany, the United Kingdom, and Italy through Panavia Aircraft GmbH. Its IDS strike and reconnaissance, ADV air-defence, and ECR electronic-combat variants gave the partner air forces one adaptable supersonic design for low-level penetration, tactical reconnaissance, and specialised defensive missions. The first prototype flew from Manching on 14 August 1974, and the family became one of Europe's defining Cold War combat-aircraft programmes.
