Tango was the cooperative target for PRISMA’s formation-flying and rendezvous experiments. Unlike Mango, it had no orbit-control propulsion. Solar and magnetic attitude control kept the compact target oriented, while GPS measurements and an intersatellite link supported relative navigation. Ground communications passed through Mango. The two craft launched mechanically attached and separated after initial commissioning.
