Progress M was the solar-powered, modernized Progress cargo-spacecraft lineage derived from the original 7K-TG. Sixty-seven numbered Progress M flights operated from 1989 through 2009: 65 standard freighters and two M-VDU vehicles modified to deliver external propulsion units. The lineage also produced the Progress M1, digital M-M, and module-delivery derivatives.
