Saab SF340A / 340B Family
The Saab 340 is a Swedish twin-turboprop regional-aircraft family developed initially with Fairchild and later carried forward by Saab. It brought large-aircraft cabin and structural technology to short-haul routes, became a mainstay of regional airlines, and was adapted for cargo and airborne-surveillance work. Production ended after 459 aircraft, but Saab retains the type certificate and provides long-term engineering, modification, spares, training, and maintenance support to an active worldwide fleet.
