The Saunders-Roe SR.53 was a British experimental interceptor prototype designed around a clipped-delta airframe and mixed rocket-turbojet propulsion. Saunders Roe built two of the three prototypes ordered; the programme was cancelled before production, while the surviving XD145 supported high-speed research and is preserved at the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford.
