Sikorsky S-58 / H-34 Family
The Sikorsky S-58 was a four-blade utility-helicopter family developed from the S-55 with a larger airframe, improved rotor system, and substantially greater payload and range. First flown in 1954, its H-34, HSS-1, and UH-34 variants served military transport, search and rescue, medical evacuation, anti-submarine, offshore, and scheduled passenger operations across many countries; later S-58T conversions replaced the radial engine with a twin-pack turboprop installation.
