Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane / CH-54 Tarhe / Erickson Air Crane Family

The S-64 Skycrane is a twin-turbine heavy-lift helicopter family built around a narrow crane-like airframe and an unobstructed external-load station. Military CH-54 Tarhe variants moved artillery, aircraft, pods, and other outsized loads, while civil S-64E and S-64F aircraft became specialized tools for logging, construction, infrastructure work, disaster response, and aerial firefighting. Erickson later acquired the design and type-certificate rights and continues the Air Crane lineage.
