Simorgh Launch Vehicle

Simorgh is an Iranian two-stage liquid-propellant orbital launch vehicle developed for heavier payloads than Safir. Publicly unveiled in 2010, it experienced a prolonged sequence of unsuccessful orbital attempts before its first confirmed orbital success in January 2024, when it deployed Mahda and two nanosatellites. The active launcher supports Iran's civil space program from the Imam Khomeini Spaceport.
