SLV-1C Blue Scout ERCS

SLV-1C was a three-stage Blue Scout Junior derivative that replaced the Alcor motor with an Altair and omitted the Cetus fourth stage. It carried the interim Emergency Rocket Communications System; the first successful test flew in 1962, and the rocket-based system remained in service until the Minuteman II ERCS replacement became operational in late 1967.
