ST5 was a common, spin-stabilized microsatellite design built at NASA Goddard for the New Millennium Program. Three flight articles tested miniaturized communications, attitude-control, thermal and electronic technologies while making coordinated magnetic-field measurements. Boom-mounted magnetometers reduced spacecraft interference. Ground constellation-management tools supported operation of the trio as a system. The integration campaign tested the first article before processing the second and third together, reusing procedures while preserving article-specific calibration and configuration.
