Thor-Delta M Launch Vehicle

Thor-Delta M was a three-stage long-tank, thrust-augmented Delta with three strap-on solid motors and a TE-364-series third stage. Twelve vehicles flew from September 1968 through February 1971, primarily for communications missions. Ten completed their planned launches; Delta 59 was destroyed after a guidance failure and Delta 71 suffered a catastrophic third-stage failure.
