Thor-Delta N6 was the six-solid derivative of the two-stage Delta N. Three vehicles flew operational meteorological missions from January 1970 through October 1971. ITOS 1 and NOAA 1 reached orbit successfully; the ITOS-B launch failed after a second-stage oxidizer leak led to loss of attitude control.
