TstarG-100 Geostationary Communications Satellite Platform

TstarG-100 is the geostationary communications-satellite platform developed by TÜBİTAK UZAY and used for TÜRKSAT 6A. It extends the institute’s Earth-observation spacecraft engineering into a GEO platform, with onboard equipment and software gaining flight heritage through an operational communications mission. The platform is part of the Tstar satellite-platform family. TÜRKSAT 6A launched in July 2024 and entered service in April 2025. Its development brought together domestic spacecraft-management, power, attitude-control, communications and propulsion capabilities. The platform’s heritage is intended to support later satellite and space systems; the mass, payload complement and power of a completed satellite depend on its mission configuration.
