Tupolev Tu-104 Aircraft Family

The Tupolev Tu-104 was the Soviet Union's first series-produced jet airliner and one of the first jet transports to sustain scheduled passenger service. Developed rapidly from the Tu-16's swept wing, tail, landing gear, and propulsion system, it paired those components with a new wide pressurized fuselage. The original 50-seat model led to higher-capacity Tu-104A and stretched Tu-104B variants, while a small number of military derivatives supported aircrew and navigation training.

    Notes
Early 50-seat Tu-104 baseline only. The museum distinguishes Tu-104A/B and other derivatives with changed passenger capacity and more powerful engine variants; those siblings remain intentionally unmodeled. This configuration is an alternative on the broad Tu-104 family, not a claim that all Tu-104 subseries share one exact engine.
