TUSAŞ KAAN Fifth-Generation Multirole Fighter Family
KAAN is a Turkish Aerospace-led fifth-generation fighter development family for multirole air-to-air and air-to-ground missions. The first prototype made its maiden flight on 21 February 2024; TUSAŞ reports a 13-minute flight to 8,000 ft at 230 knots, followed by a second test flight on 6 May 2024 lasting 14 minutes and reaching 10,000 ft at 230 knots. The production configuration and exact engine variant remain under development.
