VLS-1 was Brazil's four-stage all-solid satellite-launch vehicle developed by CTA/IAE under the Complete Brazilian Space Mission. Four S43 motors formed the clustered first stage around the central second stage; the program aimed to place small Brazilian satellites into low Earth orbit but did not achieve a successful launch.
