Vostok-K 8K72K Launch Vehicle

Vostok-K was a three-stage R-7-derived launch vehicle developed to orbit the heavy Vostok spacecraft. It launched the six crewed Vostok missions from Yuri Gagarin's first human spaceflight in 1961 through Valentina Tereshkova's Vostok 6 in 1963, as well as uncrewed spacecraft tests and early Zenit reconnaissance satellites.
