Its naval HAS Mk 1, RAF HC Mk 2 transport, and later HAR Mk 2 search-and-rescue forms carried troops and underslung loads, supported ambulance and general-purpose missions, and served in Northern Ireland, Cyprus, and wider RAF operations until 2003.
