CSM-020 flew the uncrewed Apollo 6 mission on April 4, 1968, the final Saturn V and Apollo-spacecraft qualification before crewed flights. When launch-vehicle engine problems prevented the planned profile, the Service Propulsion System performed an alternate high-apogee maneuver; the command module completed a high-speed reentry and was recovered.
