Atlas I AC-73 GOES-I Flight Vehicle
General Dynamics Atlas I vehicle AC-73 successfully launched NOAA's GOES-I weather satellite from Cape Canaveral on 13 April 1994. After reaching orbit, the spacecraft was redesignated GOES-8 and became the first of the three-axis-stabilized GOES I–M generation.
