Avro Vulcan prototype VX770

VX770 was the first Avro Vulcan prototype and the airframe used for the family's 30 August 1952 first flight. Its early test configuration used four Rolls-Royce Avon engines and a temporary bomb-bay fuel tank before the production design was refined for Bristol Olympus power.
