Waikiki Beech / Friendship Flame

N80040, the fourth Bonanza built, was modified with additional fuel tanks for William Odom's record flights. In March 1949 it flew nonstop from Honolulu to Teterboro, New Jersey, and it later completed a goodwill flight around the world as Friendship Flame. The aircraft is preserved by the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
