Cygnus NG-23 S.S. William C. McCool was the first Cygnus XL spacecraft. Launched on 14 September 2025 with about 5,000 kilograms of cargo, it recovered from two missed maneuver burns and reached the International Space Station four days later, was temporarily repositioned to support other visiting vehicles, and completed destructive reentry over the South Pacific on 14 March 2026.
