EURECA

The flown EURECA spacecraft launched aboard Atlantis on STS-46 on July 31, 1992, and was released on August 2. Its own propulsion raised it to an approximately 508-kilometre operational orbit for microgravity, space science, and technology research. Endeavour captured it on June 24, 1993, during STS-57. Because its antennas would not fold under ground command, David Low and Peter Wisoff manually secured them during a spacewalk the next day. Endeavour landed with EURECA on July 1, returning the spacecraft and experiments for examination.
