Gloster E.28/39 Pioneer W4041/G

W4041/G was the first Gloster E.28/39 airframe and the first British jet aircraft to fly. It made the demonstrator maiden flight on 15 May 1941 at RAF Cranwell, carrying Whittle turbine technology from the test bench into a controlled aircraft flight programme.
