Grumman X-29 No. 1
X-29 No. 1 was the first of two Grumman research aircraft built to investigate forward-swept wings, composite aeroelastic tailoring, canard effects, and computerized flight control. It made its first flight over Edwards Air Force Base on 14 December 1984 and later became the preserved museum aircraft.
