Hubble Space Telescope
The Hubble Space Telescope is the active NASA-ESA orbital observatory launched aboard Discovery on STS-31 and deployed on April 25, 1990. Lockheed built, integrated, and tested the spacecraft; Perkin-Elmer built its optical telescope assembly. Five astronaut servicing missions upgraded and repaired it through 2009.
