Hughes H-4 Hercules prototype

HK-1 is the sole H-4 Hercules airframe. Howard Hughes flew it briefly above Long Beach Harbor on November 2, 1947 during what began as taxi tests. The aircraft never flew again and is preserved as the central artifact of the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon.
