Lockheed XP-80 prototype 44-83020, nicknamed Lulu-Belle, was the prototype of the P-80 Shooting Star and the first U.S. full-production jet-fighter lineage. Lockheed test pilot Milo Burcham flew it for the first time from Muroc on 8 January 1944.
