MTG-S1 / Meteosat-13
MTG-S1, also catalogued as Meteosat-13, is the first Meteosat Third Generation Sounder spacecraft. It carries the Infrared Sounder and the Copernicus Sentinel-4A instrument; after launch in July 2025, it was positioned in geostationary orbit and completed commissioning in July 2026 for operational atmospheric observations.
