North American B-25J-20-NC serial 44-29887, known as Carol Jean, is a preserved Mitchell article in the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum collection. Built in 1944, it later served as a trainer and aerial-firefighting aircraft, appeared in the film Catch-22 as Luscious Lulu, and entered Smithsonian custody in 1985; its documented individual history makes it consequential beyond a routine production airframe.
