North American XB-70A AV-1 prototype 62-0001
AV-1, serial 62-0001, was the first XB-70A built and the first Valkyrie to fly. After North American and Air Force flight testing, it became the surviving joint USAF/NASA high-speed research aircraft and was delivered to the National Museum of the United States Air Force in 1969.
