Northrop XP-61 prototype

The Northrop XP-61 was the first prototype of the Black Widow night-fighter family. Its twin-boom airframe carried a three-person crew and the then-secret SCR-720 airborne radar installation; Northrop test pilot Vance Breeze made the prototype's first flight on 26 May 1942.
