Orion Pad Abort-1 test vehicle

The full-scale Orion crew-module simulator flown in NASA's Pad Abort-1 test at White Sands Missile Range on 6 May 2010. Its integrated launch abort system pulled the capsule away from the pad, after which the test vehicle separated, descended under parachutes, and landed about 134 seconds after liftoff.
