Proba-3 Coronagraph

The Coronagraph is one of the two independent spacecraft flown by ESA's Proba-3 mission. It carries the ASPIICS solar coronagraph, optical-navigation targets, a retroreflector, and sensors that keep the instrument inside the Occulter's shadow. A February 2026 anomaly interrupted contact; controllers recovered the spacecraft and restored formation flight in June, confirming that ASPIICS was undamaged.
