Saturn V SA-502 launched the uncrewed Apollo 6 mission on 4 April 1968, the second and final Saturn V qualification flight before crewed missions. Despite severe pogo oscillation, two premature S-II engine shutdowns, and a failed S-IVB restart, the vehicle reached orbit and the Apollo spacecraft completed an alternate high-energy reentry test.
