Saturn V (SA-508)

Saturn V SA-508 was the launch vehicle assigned to Apollo 13. NASA's Apollo 13 press kit identifies SA-508 as the Saturn V developed at Marshall Space Flight Center for the mission, and NASA Kennedy history describes it lifting off from Launch Pad 39A on April 11, 1970 with the Apollo 13 crew and spacecraft stack. The vehicle was part of the retired Saturn V launch-vehicle line used for Apollo lunar missions.
