Shenzhou 7 was the crewed Shenzhou spacecraft launched from Jiuquan on September 25, 2008 for China's first human EVA mission. It carried Zhai Zhigang, Liu Boming, and Jing Haipeng, supported Zhai's spacewalk with Liu assisting from the hatch, released a companion satellite, tested data-relay and EVA-related systems, and returned the crew safely on September 28, 2008.
