Shenzhou 9 was the crewed Shenzhou spacecraft launched from Jiuquan on June 16, 2012 for China's first crewed docking mission with the Tiangong-1 experimental space laboratory. It carried Jing Haipeng, Liu Wang, and Liu Yang, supported automatic and manual rendezvous and docking operations with Tiangong-1, and returned the crew safely to Earth on June 29, 2012.
