Sling 2 Production Prototype ZU-TAF
ZU-TAF was the yellow Sling 2 production prototype flown by Mike Blyth and James Pitman around the world in 2009. The 45,150-kilometer journey returned to Johannesburg after 20 route legs and demonstrated the small aircraft's long-range potential. The airframe was destroyed on February 13, 2010, when a spin-test flight entered an unrecoverable flat spin; both test pilots exited by parachute without serious injury.
