Sojourner
Sojourner was the 10.6-kilogram robotic rover carried by Mars Pathfinder and the first rover to operate on Mars. It rolled off the lander on July 5, 1997 and returned images, engineering data and in-situ chemical analyses of Martian rocks and soil.
