Soyuz 34

Soyuz 34 was launched uncrewed to Salyut 6 in June 1979 as a replacement return spacecraft for Vladimir Lyakhov and Valeri Ryumin after the Soyuz 33 engine failure raised reliability concerns. The spacecraft docked with Salyut 6, carried cargo to the station, and returned the Soyuz 32 resident crew to Earth in August 1979.
